Matching Wedding Bands

Should You Get Matching Wedding Bands?

The engagement ring is the hot-ticket item when a proposal is made, but the wedding band is equally significant. Traditions and tastes vary regarding the type of wedding band a person chooses. One of the first steps in finding your perfect wedding bands is deciding if you want them to match. Below are some things to consider.

Match your bands if you want:

  • The rings to really express that you and your partner are one unit.

  • To show that you have similar styles that are matched for each other.

Consider separate styles if:

  • You each want to show your individuality.

  • You don’t want to pressure your partner into a style they don’t totally love.

  • You want a personally customized ring suited to your hand size, shape, or even skin tone.

Still can’t decide?

Complementary rings could be your answer. This could mean bands of the same metal with different styles, or different metals but the same style. For example, if she has a three-stone engagement ring in white gold, he could have a white gold band with three diamonds too.

Your KAY consultant can offer advice and show you many options, matching or not, in-store. It’s important to find a style you truly love and will want to wear each day as a reminder of your commitment.
